What is Sexual Health Summit 2007?

Sexual Health Summit 2007 will be held at Indiana University - Bloomington on October 22, 2007. On this day, leaders from academic, community, corporate, government, philanthropic, and religious institutions across the state will gather to discuss and debate strategies for moving forward to improve the state of sexual health in our state through research, education, and practice.

During Sexual Health Summit 2007, participants will have the opportunity to:

Discuss and debate the current state of sexual health in Indiana
Discuss and debate the sexual health research, education, and practice priorities for Indiana
Begin to prioritize activities and develop plans for creating and sustaining partnerships across community, academic, government, philanthropic, corporate, and religious organizations for research, education, and practice.

Who is organizing Sexual Health Summit 2007?

Sexual Health Summit 2007 is being organized by the Center for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University - Bloomington, in partnership with Planned Parenthood of Indiana, the Indiana AIDS Fund, and The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction at Indiana University - Bloomington.

What is the schedule for Sexual Health Summit 2007?

During the morning session, a group of invited leaders representing a diverse range of organizations and institutions in Indiana will offer brief presentations on important topics related to sexual health research, education, and practice and will discuss and, through dialogue with the summit’s participants, debate strategies for enhancing partnerships to improve these.

During the afternoon, all participants will work together in both small groups and a large community forum to begin the establishment of research and practice priorities and discuss ways that the energy resulting from the Summit can be galvanized for the establishment of more creative and sustainable partnerships between diverse sexual health entities across the state.
